PRÄPARAT is a reconstruction of familiar domestic objects, rebuilt using a replicated “skeleton” and “skin.” As a result, they resemble functional objects but serve no practical purpose. Much like a taxidermied animal that retains its outward appearance while losing its movement, function, and expressive power, PRÄPARAT explores the boundary between reality, representation, and illusion.
Materials such as leather, which imitates skin, raffia yarn used as tendons or muscles, and boules balls serving as joints reveal the organic structure of these objects and refer back to their original nature, while their usability is deliberately left unresolved. In this way, their apparent functionality becomes a symbolic representation: the object presents itself, yet it has been deprived of its actual purpose.
